2001 BMW 740i

The 2001 7 Series was the final year for one of BMW’s most admired styles. The classic and elegant curves of this BMW have been the foundation of every other series BMW throughout its history. Performance

Interior

This BMW was one of the last produced 7 Series cars built July 2001 at BMW’s renowned Dingolfing plant in Germany. It was ordered with a host of options not typically ordered by most 7 series buyers. Government EPA ratings are 15 City / 22 HWY Because of the Adaptive 5 speed transmission, this 740 typically obtains a respectable 25 MPG on the highway. Driven conservatively, one can obtain 17 MPG in normal city driving.

Safety

The 7 series makes no compromises for luxury, performance, and most importantly, safety. The 2001 740i is one of the safest cars in the world based on an NHTSA study. It was also the first automobile in the world to come equipped standard with side and head protection airbags. The 7 Series was designed to protect its passengers from the extreme danger of a collision on the German Autobahn. Many parts of the chassis and body are extra reinforced to withstand impacts. Extra-thick steel on all body parts ensures longevity and an additional layer of protection in the event of a collision.

Dynamic braking senses a panic-stop situation and pressurizes the braking system for maximum stopping power.

Currently installed is a set of stunning 19” star-spoked Genuine BMW light aluminum alloy rims wrapped in high-performance Pirelli PZero Assimetrico tires. The rim geometry enhances performance by utilizing a staggered setup with a wider profile on the rear wheels to give the 740 a wider and more stable stance. Care

This BMW has been meticulously maintained throughout its entire life. Purchased new in Chicago, IL, a premium maintenance plan was included with all 7 Series cars. All oil services, inspections and repairs were performed at Perillo BMW of Highland Park, IL and Luxury Motors of Chicago. Once in Ohio, all repairs have been performed at Cain and Dave Walter BMW. All service records are included on this 740i. Because the car had such long warranty coverage, all repairs and maintenance were religiously performed using only genuine BMW parts and service. Recently, new front and rear brakes were installed. All fluids have been renewed according to BMW’s “Inspection” timetable and the car will not be due for an Inspection for at least 20K miles depending on driver characteristics.
